Ruitao Wen is currently a postdoctoral associate in the Materials Research Laboratory at MIT. He earned PhD in Engineering Sciences from Uppsala University, Sweden. Here at MIT, he is working on germanium base high-speed photodetectors, single photon detection and low cost substrate for high efficiency concentrator photovoltaics. He used to work on electrochromic materials which can be used as “Smart Windows” for energy efficient buildings in which his main task was focusing on long-term durability and materials rejuvenation.
